Betty Showalter, 88, of Hope Mills, NC, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
Born March 21, 1925 in McDowell County, WV, she is the daughter of the late James and Hattie Hunt,
The family will receive friends from 7:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills.
Funeral services officiated by Chaplain Tim Gore will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville..
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Elbie R. Showalter and several other family members.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons, Jerry D. Showalter, Sr. and wife Kathy of Hope Mills, James Stanley Rodgers and wife Lydia Dianne of Nashville, TN, and Richard Gleason Baldwin and wife Carol of Knoxville, TN; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Betty was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
