Billie Gene King

Billie G. King, 86, of Fayetteville, NC, devoted husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2026.

Billie served in the Army for 24 years, and worked in civil service for an additional 20 years. He enjoyed traveling and camping, as well as woodworking, building a number of pieces of furniture for his and his wife’s home. Billie was a quiet man who loved his family and friends and would help in any way he could. He is loved and will be greatly missed.

Billie is survived by his wife Christa; son, David (Paula) King; daughter, Patricia (Steve) Howard; and four grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hope Mills, with a memorial mass to be held at noon. Interment with military honors will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
