Billie Gene King

Billie G. King, 86, of Fayetteville, NC, devoted husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2026.

Billie served in the Army for 24 years, and worked in civil service for an additional 20 years. He enjoyed traveling and camping, as well as woodworking, building a number of pieces of furniture for his and his wife’s home. Billie was a quiet man who loved his family and friends and would help in any way he could. He is loved and will be greatly missed.

Billie is survived by his wife Christa; son, David (Paula) King; daughter, Patricia (Steve) Howard; and four grandchildren.

A Mass to celebrate Billie’s life will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5050 Oak St., Hope Mills, NC, with interment at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Spring Lake, NC, immediately following the service.
