Brenda Chavis

Brenda Faye Bell Chavis, 63, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Cape Fear

Valley Medical Center.



Brenda was born December 19, 1949 in Roberson County to Stella Hammonds Bell and the late Sandy Bell.



She spent most of her life following her passion as a Pentecostal evangelist.



Along with her father she was preceded in death by two siblings, Larry Bell and Francis Patterson.



Among those to mourn her death are sons, Michael Chavis and wife Beverly of Fayetteville and Charles of Hope Mills; mother, Stella Hammonds  Strickland and stepfather David; siblings James Bell and wife Chris of St. Pauls, Jerry Bell of Fayetteville and Ernest Bell and wife Poshia of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Brittney Nabors of Greenville, Amber Chavis of Eastover, Derek Chavis of Hope Mills, Ariel Chavis of Eastover, Destyni  Chavis of Hope Mills and Chance Chavis of Fayetteville.



The family will receive friends of Pinecrest Funeral Services on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Pinecrest Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral service at Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville.
