Casey Alan Barnes, Sr., 75, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, March 26, 2015.
Born in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Hugh and Myrtle Barnes. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Wayne and Norman Barnes.
He is survived by wife, Shirley Hales Barnes; daughters, Tina and Cassie Barnes of Fayetteville; son, Casey Barnes, Jr. of Sanford; brothers, Julian Barnes of Hope Mills and Sam Barnes of Aurora, CO; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great granddaughters.
Mr. Barnes was the superintendent of a construction crew that built many buildings in the local area including the Department of Social Services, Gray's Creek High School, and most recently Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
