Cornelia Faye Stump

Cornelia Faye Stump, 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Born on January 1, 1955, in Mars Hill, NC, Cornelia was the daughter of the late Bergin and Lori Elizabeth Grindstaff. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Stump.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Casey and husband David Gonzalez; daughter, Tara Carnes; grandchildren, Erika Squires and husband Michael, Meredith Mitchell, Kayleigh McLean and husband William, Joshua Casey, Bianca Casey, Scottie Carnes, and Jonathan Carnes, numerous great grandchildren; sister, Patty Sue Taylor; nephew, Adam Blackwell; and a host of other extended family and friends.

Known for her hard work and determination, Cornelia accepted any task set before her. She worked for several years in convenience stores, proudly guiding her teams and eventually earning awards as store manager of the year because of her dedication and leadership.

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved her.
