Daniel John Oakes, Jr.

Daniel John Oakes, Jr., 41 of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Born on April 11, 1983, in Cumberland County, Daniel is the son of Daniel John Oakes, Sr. and the late Terri Jackson Oakes.

In addition to his father, Daniel is also survived by his wife, Angela Oakes; four children, Terra Oakes, Tyler Oakes, Daniel John Oakes III, and Savannah Oakes; granddaughter, Luna Jordan; sister, Tashia Kempf and her husband Chris; niece, McKenna Kempf; and a host of other family and friends.

Daniel worked most of his life in construction as a roofer. It was a job he greatly enjoyed doing, which was evident through all the dedication and hard work he applied to every task he was given.

Being an avid sports fan, he could often be found supporting his favorite teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, or watching NASCAR and rooting for his favorite driver, Bill Elliott. In his spare time, he loved travelling to the beach and spending time with his family and friends.

Daniel will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
