David F. Ferruzzi passed away on Sunday April 6, 2025, in his early 80's. David was born in the Midwest and raised in Long Beach, California. He then enlisted in the Army and fought in the ground war of Vietnam, as the Radio-man (a key target of the enemy). He was stationed in Naples, Italy and Fort McDill, as well as others. He was also stationed in Fort Bragg for many years, which is where he called Home! He had a long & illustrious Military career for 23 years. David started as an Enlisted soldier and retired as an Officer with the rank of Major. During that time, and afterwards, he was a well-respected Real Estate Investor, Property Manager, and Contractor in the Fayetteville, NC area.
One of his great passions in his free time was fishing and just being in his boat. He enjoyed the beach with family and friends.
He is survived by his two sisters, Jean Yake, Joni Wilkoff, and his 3 nephews and 3 nieces; his children, Dawn DeVerter, Theresa (Allen) Heibel-Ferruzzi, Timothy (Ana Carolina) Ferruzzi, Mark Ferruzzi, Brenda Taylor, Ashley Calla, Brittany Langer, and Andrew Langer; sixteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services at 4721 Dunrobin Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348 on April 26th at 3:00pm. Services should last 60 to 90 minutes. Services will also be live-streamed. Military honors will be performed. David’s remains will be placed at Arlington National in DC, at a later date.
