David Benand Rivera 45 of Fayetteville, passed away July 6, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Zaida Rivera-Otero and David Rivera De-Souza
He is survived by his wife, Bridget Yocum; his parents, David and Zaida Rivera; sister, Gloriel Rivera and husband; brother, Ian Rivera; step-sons, Reynaldo, Alexander, Anthony Collazo; niece, Angely Casiano Rivera and a nephew, Angel Casiano Rivera.
David worked in construction as a cable splicer. He had a hobby to repair cars. He also had a passion for animals and nothing could take the place of his 50 pairs of Jordon's.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday night at the funeral home.
In lieu of cemetery flowers, the family has requested house plants or fresh cut flowers to take home after the service.
