Demetra Carter, 57, of Fayetteville died, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Ivory.

She is survived by her husband, George Carter, Jr., of the home, children, Damon Carter and wife Jacklyn of Hartford, Connecticut, Michael Carter of Fayetteville, Karicia Carter, of Novi, Michigan, Latonya Carter of Rochester, Michigan; siblings, Cynthia Ivory, Robert, Ivory, and Traci Bowman all of Pontiac, Michigan , and Joyce Burrell of Port Huron, Michigan; 7 grandchildren.
