Dominick Frank Parcelluzzi Jr., 76, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Dominick, affectionately known as "Dom" or "Donnie", was born January 16, 1948, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Dominick Parcelluzzi, Sr. and Delores Dougal. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Sharon Hickey.

Enlisting into the U.S. Navy in 1966, Dom proudly served aboard the USS Chicago (CG-11). His honorable service over the years earned him several awards including the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star. After his military career, Dom's life never held a dull moment. His love and dedication to his work was always evident. Whether it was his numerous years as a truck driver with Highland Paving or simply working in his yard, he loved staying busy.

Dom is survived by his wife, Donna; stepson, Dezmond Shumaker of Charlotte NC; stepdaughter, Brittany Shumaker of Fayetteville NC; two brothers, John Hickey and wife Patricia "Pat" of Magnolia, DE and Tommy Hickey of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Sandra "Sandy" Parcelluzzi Wilson and husband Tom of New Braunfels, TX; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Dom will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
