Dorothy Mary McNutt Riddle, 83, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 29, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1943 in Booneville, Arkansas to Annabelle and Charlie McNutt. She was raised by her mother and RC Baker whom she also loved as a father. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, but most of all a devoted Christian.
She gave her heart to the Lord at an early age in Bible School in the mountains of NC and has worked for the Lord and had a great impact on a lot of lives both young and old. She coached winning Bible Quiz teams which competed at the state and international level while also instilling the Word of God in young people's lives. She loved and supported missions and led the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry each year at Hope Mills Church of God. She was also a member of the Christian Education Board, Ladies Ministries, taught Sunday School at church and went on several mission trips. She and Edward also loved playing volleyball in the church's Family Life Center.
She attended Hope Mills High School and was a standout player on the girl's basketball team scoring 40+ points in one game. She graduated from Pembroke State University (now UNCP) with a degree in Math Education and taught high school math for 30+ years at several Cumberland County Schools during her career with the longest being at South View High School and she spent a year as an instructor at NC State University where she received her Master's Degree in Math.
She leaves behind her sister, Char; children, DeAnn (Tommie), Brent, Brian, Kimberly and Jennifer; along with eight grandchildren, Justin (Ashley), Courtney, Megan (Kaine), Cobi, Ryan (Madison), Kaitlyn, Alex and Bella. She also loved being Nana to her great grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Tinley, Colton, Jensen, Giovanni, Kasyn and Juniper
