Eddie Herbert Schmitt, 72, of Fayetteville, died Monday, November 10, 2014.
Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, he is the son of Herbert and Cora Mae Schmitt.
Mr. Schmitt was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict having served in the U. S.Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Schmitt; sons, John Werner Schmitt, II and wife, Katrina of Hope Mills, and Timothy Edward Schmitt and fiancé, Brittany of Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the MacPherson Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 3525 Cliffdale Road Fayetteville, NC 28303.
