Ms. Elizabeth “Nana Liz” Baldwin Nichols, 71, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord on November 22, 2025, in the presence of her two children and her son-in-law.
Born in Germany on May 10, 1954, Elizabeth grew into a woman whose life was marked by love, service, and an infectious joy that touched everyone who knew her. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Baldwin, and her mother, Alma H. Brock, whose memories she cherished throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Heather Allen (Jeremey), her loving son, Robert Logue, and three treasured grandchildren, Seth Ludlum, Wyatt Ludlum, and Emma Logue, who were the light of her life.
A proud graduate of UNC Pembroke, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History, reflecting her deep curiosity about people and the past. She was a true history enthusiast, always eager to share stories, learn something new, and connect the lessons of yesterday to the lives of those she loved today. Elizabeth was full of life and had a heart for helping others, often putting the needs and well-being of family, friends, and even strangers before her own. She enjoyed the excitement of NASCAR racing, the comfort of good company, and the simple joy of time spent with her family near and far.
Known to many as “Nana Liz,” she was loved more than words can express and will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends forever.
