Franklin "Frank" Carter III, 54, of Lumber Bridge passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Regency Hospital in Florence, SC, with his family at his bedside.

He was born April 4, 1960 in Fayetteville, NC. He was the co-owner of C&F Custom Cabinets in Hope Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Joyce Carter; his son, Hughey Colton Carter; his daughter, Kendal Elizabeth Carter of the home; his parents Franklin Carter II and Peggy Brown Carter of Hope Mills; his sister, Kathy (Chris) Hains; his father and mother in law, James and Juanita Wilson; brother in law, Larry (Deborah) Wilson; sister in law, Becky (Woodrow) Mims; and three nieces and five nephews, all of Arkansas.
Frank was preceded in death by grandparents, Hughey and Alice Brown and Franklin Sr. and Mary J Carter.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Green Springs Baptist Church,1095 E. Green Springs Road in Parkton, with Pastor Jeff Broadwell officiating. The burial will follow at Hope Mills Cemetery on Legion Road.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society in Frank's memory.

Services are entrusted to Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services, 4721 Dunrobin Drive in Hope Mills.
