Gibson Peters

Gibson Rolan Peters, 73, of Fayetteville, died peacefully at Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center on June 10, 2011. He was born in Bladen County on June 26, 1937 to the late Gibson Norwood and Sarah Etta Peters.

He loved being with family, playing golf and caring for his dogs.

He is survived by five children - Cindy Anderson and husband, Mike; Michael Peters and wife, Bethany, Fayetteville; Gib Peters and wife, Chris, York, SC; Beth Kinlaw and husband, Mike, Fort Myers, Florida; Raymond Garrett-Peters and wife, Patty, Durham; five brothers - Joe and wife Helen, Wilmington, Maylan and wife Barbara, Fayetteville, Delma and wife Lib, High Point, Wayne and wife Judy, Fayetteville, Claude and wife Ruth Ann, Lexington; thirteen grandchildren - Bill Epkins, Hayley Giliberto, Heather Kinlaw, Matt Anderson, Rachel Peters, Marci Anderson, Justin Anderson, Jordan Peters, Christopher Peters, Nicolas Peters, Gene Garrett-Peters, Maiya Garrett-Peters, Courtney Peters; one great grandchild, Madison Epkins; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends.
