Guy Daniel Kemp

Guy Daniel Kemp, age 76, of Hope Mills, NC, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2026, at 1:30 am. He was surrounded by his family and friends (along with Sam, his puppy dog).

Born June 10, 1950, in Galesburg, Illinois, Guy is the son of the late Jarrett and Doris Kemp.

Guy enjoyed fishing and had a love for history. Guy also enjoyed reading the Bible. He loved his family and spending time together. Guy was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force after 24 years as an Independent Duty Medic. After his time in the service, he pursued a career as a paramedic with the Cumberland County Health System.

He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Sandie Kemp; children, Christopher Kemp (Dawn), Jason Kemp, Aundrea Johnson (Jeff), and Marty Smith (Tami); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Disbennett (Pete) and Jan Woods; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Health Hospice Care and their team. They would also like to extend a special thank you to A+ Home Healthcare for all the love and support you have given the family throughout the years. We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, calls and support shared with our family during this difficult time.
