Helen B. Cheek was born April 3, 1930 in Fayetteville, NC, to the late Kirby and Lena Williford Horne.
She died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Bethesda Health care in Fayetteville after an extended illness.
In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and daughter, Susan.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Atkins and Gloria Ballard and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday evening September 2, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services. Graveside funeral services will be Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11 AM at Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville.
