James Flootman, 58, of Lumber Bridge, NC, passed away on January 22, 2025.
Born October 19, 1966, in Canada, Jim was the son of Alice and Herman Flootman.
Jim married Cindy Carol Naylor on May 1, 1998, in Fayetteville, NC. They were happily married for 26 years. They met working out of the paint and body shop at Maaco in Fayetteville, NC. They had one son together, Dylan Flootman, and Cindy had 2 daughters, Kari and Amanda, which Jim always thought of as his own. The feeling was mutual.
Jim worked as an auto body technician and painter at Gerber Collision. He also worked at Reed Lallier, Maaco, and a few other body shops over the years. Many people said that he was the best, and people would wait for years just to have him work on their vehicles personally.
Jim’s hobbies included rebuilding vehicles and racing mud trucks with his family and friends.
Jim was an excellent father and husband. He was very kind most of the time, and he would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He had a very kind heart, and a funny and sometimes spicy personality. He had many friends and many people who loved him and miss him very much.
Remaining to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife, Cindy; children, Dylan Flootman, Kari Privette, and Amanda Campbell; grandchildren, Alexa and Kailee Walters; mother, Alice Flootman; brother, David; sisters, Judy and Heidi; and a host of other family and friends.
Preceding Jim in death are his father, Herman Flootman; his sister, Joan Flootman; his brother, Henry Flootman, along with his dogs, Sunshine and Smokey, and the only cat he ever liked, Kiska. He will be very happy to see them all again.
