Joe Parker

Joe Ingram Parker, 91, of Fayetteville, died Friday, January 04, 2019.

Born in Smith County, TX, he was the son of the late Loving S. Parker and Motie Land Parker. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Paul Parker; his son, Joe Paul Parker; and his brother J.B. Parker.

Joe is survived by three daughters, Sue-Beth Bowman of Lincolnton, GA; Caroline Pearce and husband Bill of Manteo, NC; Julianne Bass and husband Larry of Fayetteville, NC; son, Robert Norman of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; and his brother Jimmy Parker of Tyler, TX.

Joe served in the US Navy during WWII and later retired from the US Army serving in the Special Forces Division. During his service, he received numerous awards and accommodations for service to his country.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
