John was born on July 29, 1958 in Vicksburg MS, to Elizabeth Caddell Bryant (Rames) and the late Jack Bryant.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Phillips Bryant; children, Mildred Bryant, Katherine Bryant, Kelly Black, Margaret Button, Eric Bass; mother, and stepfather, Elizabeth and Clarence Raymes; sisters, Joy Williams, Mary Gorton, Sarah Raymes; and five grandchildren
