Army SGT 1st Class Jonathon Michael Prins passed away July 24, 2016, in Lexington, South Carolina.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army and stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He was a member of the No Slack Battalion. He enjoyed watching sports and loved hockey. He was a Carolina Tar heel, Carolina Panthers and Carolina Hurricane fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Prins of Clinton; children, Marrissa, Savannah and Julian Prins; mother, Lesa Dennis of Raleigh; father, Michael Laurence Prins and step mother, Rosemarie of Apopka, FL.; sister, Courtney Jernigan of Raleigh; maternal grandmother, Linda Honeycutt of Raleigh and a uncle Michael Lukasik of Roxboro.

He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
