Josephine Melvin

Josephine Hulon Melvin, 94, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 after an extended illness with her family by her side.

Josephine was born in Cumberland County, January 25, 1919 to the late Norman and Bell Kinlaw Hulon.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Weldon Melvin and brothers Edward Hulon, Herbert Hulon, Jessie Hulon and Lacy Hulon.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Hope Mills with interment following in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM at the church prior to the service.

Surviving are five sons, Wayne Melvin, Norman Richard Melvin of Panama City FL, Carley Melvin, Ben Melvin of Kings Mountain, NC, and Paul Gerald Melvin, siblings, Franklin Hulon, Dorothy Wingate, Joe Hulon, Ruth-Ann Long, and Grady Hulon; fifteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
