Judy Hash

March 12, 1942 — December 30, 2025

Fayetteville, NC

Judy E. Hash, 83, of Fayetteville, NC, passed peacefully on December 30, 2025. Judy was born in Princeton, West Virginia to Charlie Bryan and Mabel (Alvis) Anderson who both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her brother, James B. Anderson and niece, Kathy L. Anderson; both very special to her and the family stories she frequently shared.

Judy spent her childhood in Princeton and attended Concord College in Athens, WV prior to marrying and settling in Fayetteville. She was a homemaker and proud mother, always making time to support her son at sporting and life events. At the end of her career, she retired from Patient Relations at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Among her favorite ways to spend time were visiting with friends, often involving food and laughter, shopping for antiques, spending time in her yard, and attending church sponsored gatherings and celebrations.

She enjoyed trips home to her beloved West Virginia and sharing stories of growing up there and the many trips, and resulting adventures, she had. Judy was strong in her faith and her fierce love for her family. She is survived by her son, James (Kim) Hash of Hope Mills; grandchildren, Brittany (fiancé Jeff Kistler) Hash and Joseph Hash; niece, Debra (Robert) Schiavone; and beloved cousin who was like a close sister to her, Betty Lilly.

We know she is praising, celebrating and gathering with friends and family who have gone before her in Hallelujah Square as she planned.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Owen Chapel at Camp Ground Methodist Church on March 10, 2026, at 1:00pm. Interment will occur later this year in West Virginia.
