He is survived by his wife Cindy Hayes and son, Joshua Weiss of the home; mother, Pearl Hayes of Fayetteville; father, Leroy Hayes and step-mother, Elizabeth Hayes of Rocky Mount; brothers, Randy Hayes and wife Toni of Myrtle Beach, Glenn Hayes of Fayetteville, Wayne Hayes of Rocky Mount; sisters, Kim Reed and husband Whinburt of Fayetteville and Melinda Wallace and husband Justin of Southern Pines and nieces and nephews.
