Levie Cameron, Jr.

Levie Cameron, Jr., 75. of Hope Mills, NC, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Born September 27, 1949 in Sanford, NC, Levie was the son of the late Levie Cameron, Sr. and Marianna Pipkin Cameron.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Cameron; daughter, Shelley Cameron; son, Pat Barber and his wife Stephanie; son, Brian Barber; grandsons, Brooks Barber and Cash Barber; and a host of other family and friends.

Levie will be remembered for his love of hard work and the dedication he applied to every task put before him. He spent most of his life as a commercial truck driver before starting his own trucking company, L.C. Cameron, Inc., which he has operated since it opened in 1999. When not working, Levie could be found volunteering in his community through his involvement with the Massey Hill Lions Club, which he was an active member of for the past 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR, but above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Levie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone who knew and loved him.
