Matthew Wayne Black 63, of Fayetteville passed away March 17, 2026.
Born in Cumberland County he was the son of the late Buddy and P:atricia Benoy Black. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Black and his sister, Regina Scott.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Kristina Black and Melissa Black; son, John David Horne, 111 & fiancee Jackie Dezarn; grandchildren, Dallas Horne and Oakley Horne; sister, Athena Thomsen & husband Ben; cousin, Robert Black and many nieces and nephews.
Some of Matthews hobbies include playing his guitar, putting model cars together, he enjoyed fishing, grilling, he liked building things with his daughter and he was a tar heel fan.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
