Maurice Allender, Sr.

Mr. Maurice Lee Allender, Sr., 80, of Hope Mills, passed away July 19, 2016 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville.

Born in Lockridge, Iowa, he is the son of Everitt Lyzell Allender and Lucille Switzer Allender White. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Allender and a sister, Evelyn Rowe. He was member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and VFW Post #670.

He is survived by a son, Lonnie Allender and wife Gail of Cape Coral, FL., Leala Cliburn of Summit, Miss., and Maurice Lee Allender, Jr., and wife Cynthia of Hope Mills; a brother, Don Allender and wife Connie of Washington, IA., grandchildren, KrystallAllender of Cape Coral, FL., Summer Cliburn of Summitt Miss., Bruce Woolard of Fayetteville; children of his heart, Faye Probus and Dawn Furr.
