Michael Sean Huston

Michael Sean Huston was born February 15, 2006 at Fort Bragg, NC to J. Eric and Sherry Huston. He was the youngest of four siblings, the baby who brought so much joy to his family. He grew up in Grays Creek, NC and it was always home to him.

Our handsome son, Michael tragically, and unexpectedly departed his family and left to be with Jesus on September 18, 2026, at the young age of 20. Leaving behind his family who loved him beyond measure.

As a child, Michael loved being outside, and that never changed. He loved fishing, camping, skiing, kayaking, motorcycles, the beach, and so much more. He was born with an adventurous and determined spirit! At 14, Michael became the youngest Eagle Scout in Troop 701. He was always high energy and ready to roll when he could hang out with friends or family. He was always up for a road trip and loved to travel.

Michael was loyal to a fault, to those he cared for. He was funny, a prankster, generous, loving and had he the most infectious laugh.

On November 15, 2015, he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Southview Baptist Church. The most important commitment of his short, beautiful life.

In 2024, Michael graduated from Walla Walla Online.

Michael had so many plans for his bright future. He was so excited after working almost three years for the Port of Walla Walla that he was moving back home to NC on September 29th. He had a new job, a new place rented, tickets to fly to St Martin, tickets for Kings Dominion, and the list goes on.

Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted parents, J. Eric & Sherry Huston; brother Riley Croley & Taryn (Logan); brother Nicholas & Rachel Huston; sister Nicole Huston (Vivian-Louise & Kenyon); his true love Lilee Kruger; Uncle Josh & Ashley Krueger (Finnley, DJ & Pearl); Aunt Michelle Krueger; Grandfather Steve Krueger; Grandmother Dee Huston; Great Uncle Chris & Vickie Krueger; Great Uncle Stacy Krueger & Linda; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Herbert Huston, uncle Derek Krueger, grandmother Linda (Larson) Krueger, and his step-grandfather Richard Bean.

Though Michael’s time was far too short, his love, laughter, memories, and moments he shared will remain. He will forever be a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, a godson and a friend. He was and is an unforgettable part of the lives of those who were blessed to know and love him.

The family wishes to thank all of the people who have extended prayers, kindness, meals, gifts and encouragement to them as we remember Michael. One cannot summarize a life in a few short paragraphs. There are no words to describe our grief and heartache.

A graveside service will be open to all who would like to celebrate Michael's beautiful life with his family on Saturday, October 10th, at 11am, at Sherwood Presbyterian Church, 4857 NC-87, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Please Join us!
