Born in Guilford County, he is the son of Robert and Sarah Mounce.
He is survived by a sister, Gertrude Hiatt; step son, Boyd Snyder; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 6, 2014 at Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC.
