It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for the life she lived, that we announce the passing of Rachel Ann Singletary, who left this world peacefully at her home on June 29, 2026, at the age of 68.
Born on October 24, 1957, in the vast and beautiful lands of Anchorage, Alaska, Rachel was a beacon of warmth and love, forever touching the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
Rachel was the cherished daughter of William Frye and Betty Rightmire, both of whom predeceased her, along with her beloved grandson, Aaron Morris. She carried forward her parents' legacy of kindness and resilience, embodying their values in every facet of her life.
Rachel pursued her education at Fayetteville Technical Institute, where she cultivated a love for learning that she would carry throughout her life. Her intellectual curiosity was matched by her devotion to her family, whom she adored and who adored her in return.
Rachel is survived by her loving children: daughters, Diane Chambers and Sharon Chambers, and her son, Charles Gray, who, alongside his wife Jenny Gray and family. Her grandchildren—Rebecca Morris, Raymond Willette, and Alana Willette—were the light of her life, each contributing to the rich tapestry of family that Rachel cherished above all else. Her great-grandson, Jasper Tillman, carries forward her legacy of love and laughter.
A woman of many talents, Rachel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fisher, casting her line and relishing the tranquility of nature. Her garden was her sanctuary, a vibrant testament to her nurturing spirit and gentle touch. Rachel's passion for painting was a true reflection of her colorful soul, capturing the beauty she saw in the world around her. In the kitchen, she was a maestro, creating meals that were as comforting as they were delicious, bringing her family together with every lovingly prepared dish.
Rachel's enduring legacy is one of love, strength, and grace. She taught us to find beauty in the ordinary and to cherish each moment with those we hold dear. Her compassion and generosity were boundless, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
As we celebrate Rachel's life, we remember her not with sorrow, but with immense gratitude for the countless ways she enriched our lives. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry her love with them always.
A private family service will be held to honor Rachel's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rachel's memory to a charity of your choice, celebrating her life by spreading kindness and love to those in need.
Rest in peace, dear Rachel. You have left an indelible mark on this world, and you will be profoundly missed.
