Ronald Anthony Matarese, Jr.

Ronald Anthony Matarese, 60, Jr., of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. 

Born on March 26, 1966, Ronald was the son of late Ronald Anthony Matarese, Sr., and Constance Ciraolo.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Matarese; Daughter Katelyn M. Connell and husband Alex; Son, Anthony Matarese; Grandchildren, Bella Rose Connell and Roman Alexander Connell; Sister, Kathy Johnson and Husband Nick; Brothers, Mario Matarese and wife Stephanie, and William Fairbanks; Stepmother, Cheryl Matarese; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other close family and friends.

His love for the outdoors extended into his career in lawn maintenance. Along with his love for the outdoors, Ronald loved to spend his free time making beadwork and keychains, as well as cooking, which he deeply adored.

Ronald was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
