Ruby Gray

Ruby Calhoun Gray, 95 of Hope Mills, passed away April 5, 2018.

Born in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late John A. Calhoun and Sankie Fields Calhoun. She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Gray, Sr. former Mayor of Hope Mills, and a daughter, Betty Lucille Byrd. She is survived by two sons, James Gray, Jr. and wife Brenda and Timmy Gray and wife Donna, all of Hope Mills; a daughter, Jean Pelizzari and husband Dave of Pigeon Forge, TN; a brother,Clarence Calhoun of Fayetteville; 7 grandchildren, Angie Suggs and husband Bill, Stoney and wife Debbie, Becky Nichols and husband Jason, James, III and wife Melissa, Timothy, II and wife Courtney, Angela Culver and husband Rob, and Tyler Herbert ;13 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
