Steve Edward “Papa” Beeler, 67 of Hope Mills, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, in his home with family by his side.
Born on April 8, 1957, in Fayetteville, Steve was the son of the late Paul Edward Beeler and Bertha Lucille Odom Beeler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mitchell Beeler and Jeff Beeler.
Steve is survived by his wife of 41 wonderful years, Frankie Beeler; daughter, Kerrie White and husband David; son, Steven Beeler and husband Michael; grandchildren, Layne White and Libbie White; canine companions, Rucker and Little Man; sister, Joyce McDuffie and husband, Charlie; sister-in-law, Peggy Beeler; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Steve will be remembered for his hard work and dedication he applied to everything he set his mind to doing. This was evident in his 35 years of service at Goodyear as a top tire builder. After retiring from Goodyear, he enjoyed the travels associated with being a long-distance truck driver. Though diligent in all he accomplished, Steve also enjoyed the simpler things in life, such as taking long rides on his motorcycle, taking immaculate care of his yard, and watching westerns on channel 461. His greatest joy however was spending time with his family and friends whenever the opportunity occurred.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed and forever cherished by everyone that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
