Wendy Burr May

Wendy Burr May, 61, of Hope Mills, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Born on March 30, 1965, Wendy was the daughter of the late Carl Ernest Burr, Sr. and Brenda Carol Gore Burr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Joy Carlene Burr.

Born and raised in Cumberland County, Wendy graduated from Southview High School in 1983.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kelly Buchanan and her husband Alex; son, Jeremny May; sister, Linda Burr; brother, Carl Burr, Jr.; and a host of other family and friends.

Wendy will be remembered for her love for the Lord and for her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
