Wilbert Mcdowell

Wilbert "Bill" Kellon McDowell,  age 70  of Hope Mills died Friday, January 11, 2013.



Born in Horry, SC, he is the son of the late Wilbert Kellon McDowell, Sr., and Emma Thompson McDowell.   He  is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, John Vick and Evy Madson.



He is survived by his wife, Joeann McDowell of the home, children, Jennifer Johnson of Fayetteville, Susan Vanderhill  and husband Timm of Portage, MI, siblings, James McDowell and wife Chris of Florence, SC,  and Freddie McDowell and wife Anciedale of Hope Mills, Gary Hardee of Tampa,  Florida and Linda Floyd and husband Scott of Mustang, OK; grandchildren, Christopher Dupre of Fayetteville, and Emma Grace Vanderhill of Portage, MI.



Mr. McDowell  enjoyed golfing and woodworking.
