William Ronald Pittman

William Ronald Pittman, 80, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026, surrounded by family.

William was preceded in death by his son, Michael Pittman; his parents, William and Annie Ruth Pittman; his brothers, Robert Pittman, Buddy Pittman, and Terry Pittman; and his sisters, Jeanette Polston and Rose Nobles.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Linda Pittman; his son, Ronald Pittman; his grandson, Christopher Pittman; his sisters, Evelyn Smith and Gail Anderson (husband, John Haney); his brother, Nathan Pittman; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

William was the proud owner and operator of W.R. Pittman Roofing Company for 61 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his craft, and commitment to serving his community. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing at Holden Beach, watching Gunsmoke, spending time with his family, and admiring antique cars and trucks.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, William touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to God and his family. His presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

William’s legacy of hard work, love, and dedication to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
