Retired Army SFC Alfred Sheldon Rivers, 81, of Fayetteville, NC, died Monday, Apr. 11, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rivers; and stepdaughter, Debbie Davis. Mr. Rivers is survived by his sisters, Clara Evans of Chester, VA, and Betty Mayes of Buena Vista, VA; stepson, Larry Wayne Fisher of Whiteville, NC; and three grandchildren.
